Business Development Course Descriptions

One Day Courses (Master Class)

Aim The aim of the course is to provide the participants with a general understanding of and tasks, processes, and tools for Business Development.

Goals description After the course, the participants must be able to:

  • Understand and clarify what business development is (not)
  • Demonstrate good command of and being able to work with the key elements of business development
  • Assess and evaluate one’s own business development tasks and processes

Three and Four day courses

Aim These longer courses provides a more nuanced and in-depth take on Business Development tasks and processes, their organization and people, as well as the business developer’s tool box.

Own opportunity as case The participant prepares a pitch on an actual growth opportunity, that serves as their own case thoughout the course. In the Open Courses the content of the growth opportunities is kept between the lecturer and the individual participant.

Structure The course is based on a 2 +1 model or 2 + 2 and is executed so that the first two modules form the basis for the first two days. Then there will be a one-month break in which participants prepare a business plan for a real growth opportunity in their company. For example:

  • Business development and the business developer’s mindset (Day 1)
  • The business developer’s toolbox (Day 2)
  • Preparing and implementing a growth opportunity’s business plan (Day 3 (and 4))

Goals description After the course, the participants must be able to:

  • Understand and clarify what business development is (not)
  • Demonstrate good command of and being able to work with the key elements of business development
  • Assess and evaluate the characteristics of the good business developer
  • Assess and evaluate one’s own business development tasks and processes
  • Prepare a pitch, business model and business plan on an actual growth opportunity
